Youth - Fermanagh

The Western Education and Library Board ( WELB) is the local education authority and library authority for its area. It provides a Youth Service in Fermanagh, through its Youth Committee and Officer Teams. The Youth Service provides support to schools, youth clubs, uniformed organisations and youth centres in the provision of Curriculum programme areas dealing with Personal, Recreational, Community and Environmental issues. It maintains residential facilities at Gortatole Outdoor Education Centre, Florencecourt, Co Fermanagh

Fermanagh Shadow Youth Council is a group of young people elected to give their age group a political voice. Candidates stand on youth issue manifestos in properly organised PR elections organised by Fermanagh District Council with the final count being held in the Town Hall.

The Enniskillen Adolescent Partnership is one of twenty- three community based projects across Northern Ireland operated by the Youth Justice Agency's Community Services directorate. These projects provide a range of services to children and families with the objective of reducing offending and the risks of offending.

The Youth Council for Northern Ireland is the statutory youth body for Northern Ireland, established by the 1989 Youth Service (NI) Order. If comprises a Board (i.e. the membership of the Council), appointed by the Minister for Education, and a staff team.
