Fermanagh Enterprise Limited became the first Local Enterprise Agency in the Fermanagh District Council area when it was up in 1985. Its aims are t o strengthen the economy of Fermanagh through encouraging, assisting and advising individuals and groups, in undertaking opportunities for enterprise development, supporting the creation and development of small businesses in the County. The organisation also works in close cooperation with a network of other Enterprise Centres throughout the county. It provides the following services:

Invest Northern Ireland is Northern Ireland’s main economic development organisation. Working in partnership with public and private sector organisations, its main focus is on helping build a more vibrant private economy. It does this by helping businesses to be:
· Enterprising:encouraging established companies to become more enterprising and supporting new businesses that have export potential;
· Creative:helping companies in manufacturing and tradeable services to improve productivity, increase research and development and develop new products and new markets;
· Global:increasing the level of technology-led investment in Northern Ireland by overseas companies, and helping local companies to compete globally.
