The Arts and Culture Department of Fermanagh District Council covers a wide range of activities including music, opera, dance, drama, literature, visual arts, craft and film. The Council wishes to encourage the creation of opportunities for arts and cultural activities that are readily available to all. To this end, it employs an Arts Officer and co-ordinates activities associated with the arts in Fermanagh.

The Fermanagh Arts Advisory Committee in conjunction with Fermanagh District Council awards small grants to individuals and organisations who are involved in organising art activities.

The Ardhowen Theatre, opened in 1986, offers a year-round programme of professional drama, classical music, opera, ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, blues, variety, comedy, country music, puppets, mime, children's events, traditional Irish music and dance, ethnic arts, film and lectures. Based in Enniskillen.

Enniskillen Castle: The Heritage Centre exhibits the collections of the County Museum in award winning displays enhanced by audio visual programmes about Fermanagh's history, wildlife and landscapes. There are also special exhibitions throughout the year. The Castle Keep houses the Inniskillings Museum and displays spanning the history of the Castle and the development of Enniskillen town. Facilities include audio visual theatre, gift and book shop,children's activity corner, educational programmes.

The Higher Bridges Gallery ishoused in the Clinton Centre building in the heart of Enniskillen town. The Clinton Centre was built in 2002 and dedicated to Bill Clinton and his contribution to the Peace Process in Northern Ireland. Among the aims of the Higher Bridges Gallery are:

§ To enhance community arts practice in rural areas

§ To promote the arts at a grass roots level for both the Visual arts & Crafts Sector

§ To explore the opportunities for community arts to contribute to peace building within and between rural communities
