North Leitrim Community Video (NLCV)
County Leitrim exhibits high levels of community based activity, with over 300 community groups in the County. The co-ordination of the Community and Voluntary sector takes place at various levels:
§ At Local Government Level, Leitrim County Development Board has a Social Inclusion Working Group on which the Community sector is represented.
§ Leitrim Community Forumis a body of 26 people who represent the community and voluntary sector in the county. It is made up of representatives from the four electoral areas, community networks and ten sectors (e.g. Disabled, Sports).
§ County Leitrim Partnershipis a development agency working with state agencies, social partners and community/voluntary representatives to provide supports and grant aid to meet the needs of people and groups in Leitrim.
§ There are three Community Development Projects (CDPs) operating in County Leitrim. These include Lough Allen CDP; Community Connections; North Leitrim Women’s Centre
§ Community networks include the N. Leitrim Men’s Group, N. Leitrim Community Network, S. Leitrim Community Network.
