Women’s Aid focuses on services for women and children experiencing physical, emotional and sexual abuse within the home. It:
§ Encourages women to determine their own future whether this involves returning home or to begin an independent life.
§ Gives recognition and care for the emotional needs of the children involved.
§ Offers support and information to women either be telephone or in person.
§ Offers supportive after-care to any woman leaving the refuge.
§ Educates and informs the public, media, statutory and voluntary agencies of our Service in an attempt to alleviate the traumatic effects of domestic violence.
