Funding Role: The St Stephen's Green Trust exists to make a positive contribution, through grant aid and advisory services, to charitable projects and initiatives which aim to tackle the issues of poverty, social exclusion, discrimination, racism and injustice within Ireland. The Trust also acknowledges the need to operate at the national level to support the work of organisations that are trying to effect positive changes in relation to marginalised groups within Irish society.
Budget: The maximum grant to be provided will normally not exceed €12,000, the average grant likely to be in the region of €6,000. The Trust may consider providing financial support for 2-3 years to groups/projects which require more sustained funding.
Policy: The Trust will provide grants to projects and groups that require financial support to progress their plans and ideas. Financial support from the Trust can be particularly important for groups that are developing innovative, pilot projects which do not fall within the normal funding guidelines or parameters of statutory agencies. The Trust also provides advisory and technical support service to groups and organisations within the sector on funding options.
Applications: Trustees meet four times a year, usually in February, May August and November annually. Guidelines and application forms are available from the Trust. Applications should be accompanied by a set of your most recent accounts and annual report.
Closing Date: Deadline for receipt of applications is 4 weeks in advance of the Trustee meetings.
