Funding Role: Co-operation Ireland works to bring a lasting peace to the island of Ireland. Co-operation Ireland is helping to make permanent peace a reality by bringing together people from different religious backgrounds in Northern Ireland and by bringing together people from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Co-operation Ireland is non-sectarian and non-religious and draws its support from people from all backgrounds in Ireland, Britain and the USA.
Budget: Level 1 involves groups who are meeting on a mainly social/cultural basis, average funding per group: £500. Level 2 involves groups who can demonstrate substantial recent involvement in cross-border or cross-community projects, average funding per group: £1,500.
Policy: This programme aims to provide practical support to individuals and groups seeking to make a difference in their community. The programme offers:
- theopportunity for groups to explore and discuss an issue in a safe environment;
- practical workshops tailored to meeting the needs of any group;
- objective and impartial leadership that can support and challenge a group.
Applications: Welcomes enquiries from any groups or individuals who are interested in receiving consultation or delivery of programmes. Programmes can be delivered on a single identity, cross community or cross-border basis.
