Applications: Atlantic initiates and implements grants based on the specific objectives of programme fields. They do not consider unsolicited proposals for funding.
In selecting organisations for funding they look for fit with their strategic objectives, strong organisational leadership, evidence of success to-date, financial strength, and the capacity to implement projects and evaluate their success. They prefer to make large multi-year grants rather than smaller grants for one-off projects.
Prior to inviting an application for funding, Atlantic’s programme staff conducts intensive due diligence on a potential grantee.
Cross-Border Relevance
Atlantic Philantropies has supported organisations that work on a cross-border basis, e.g. Women’s Aid. However, groups must be approached, there is no application procedure.
